Designer Michele Roberts

Michele is an Annapolis, MD area born artist currently living in Austin, TX. When she's not busy with her business, she enjoys backpacking, painting and taking care of her family. She loves the city of Austin, and all of the outdoor and art opportunities it has to offer.

Michele began making barefoot sandals, or "Jewels" as she calls them, after returning from her wedding in Hawaii. She had a simple ceremony with a handful of friends and family, and as part of her casual wedding-day ensemble had purchased a pair of barefoot sandals. Although she loved the look of the sandals, she thought the options for classy but affordable sandals were limited.

After returning from Hawaii she started making prototypes and listing them on various websites. Within a few weeks she created her own website and began advertising her new business of selling Jewels.

As time has gone on, she has added anklets, toe rings, hand jewelry and more to her line of wearable art.

Today Michele is excited to share these handmade treasures with you. Although the business has grown greatly, she still performs quality checks on each and every item that she sells to ensure that each creation is made with care, quality and with the best materials available.
